These two are the cat's meow.
A couple who famously helped an overweight cat shed some pounds has adopted another hefty feline.
Peter Sorkin and Kiah Berkeley of the Washington, D.C., area recently gave a home to Wilford, a 28-pound cat who had been surrendered to a rescue center in December, according to the website DCist.
Wilford's situation garnered attention last month after DCist wrote that the 8-year-old cat was living with a foster family and needed to drop about half his weight for health reasons.
Sorkin and Berkeley made headlines in 2017 when they adopted a 35-pound cat named Symba, whom the couple renamed Vito.

Vito died in January after a vet found fluid in his abdomen, his family announced at the time.
In a recent social media post, Sorkin and Berkeley said they adopted Wilford.
"As some of you may have already seen, we have adopted a new fat friend," they wrote on a Facebook page dedicated to Vito and, now, Wilford. "While no cat will ever replace Vito — we still miss him every day — we do know we can give a loving and healthy home to Wilford, DC's latest chonky celebrity."
They have chronicled Wilford's experiences on Facebook in the days since they took him home, including sharing adorable pictures of the grey cat sprawled out on a bed and tucked under a blanket.
